A preface

The increasing progress in the age the globalization and the cognitive explosion in the field of the information technology and the criteria culture imposes terrific challenges in the field of the educational and psychological sciences in all of it's different sides. Therefore it was a duty on the supervisors of this field in Jordan and the Arabian world to repeat their view about it, and to intensify their efforts and direct them for the renewals of future applications in the educational and psychological field of science, with what agrees with the age spirit and its developments, and handles its latest developments and challenges.

Targets of the conference :
1- Following-up the international directions in the educational and psychological field of science with the analytic study.
2- Defining the development priorities and the renewal in the field of the educational and psychological sciences.
3- Arab and international experience exchange regarding the educational and psychological renewals and their applications.
4- Showing the renewals and the future applications in the field of the educational and psychological sciences, and the clarification of their effect in the operation of the complete development.

Participation conditions :
1- An abstract of the research project or an abstract of the project it self must be sent including the title and name of the research, number of words must be in the range (200-250) word, the last date for the delivery of the abstracts will be on the first of June 2005, and the researcher will be told by the acceptance of his study in principle within a month from the receipt of the abstract.
2- Three copies of the complete printed research must be sent, and the last date of delivery will be on the fifth of September 2005, and a copy of the research on a computer CD must be attached with, after that the researcher will be told of the decision of the judgment regarding the acceptance of its study for the participation in the conference.
3- The participant that is outside Jordan must pay (200$) to Al-Qahirah Amman – Al Yarmook University – account no. (01/10060064501), regarding that participation may be without submitting a research, and its fees cover the residence, meals and the internal transportations.
4- The participant from inside Jordan must pay (20JD) to Al-Qahirah Amman – Al Yarmook University – account no. (01/10060064501).
5- The participant researches will be published after making modifications on them according to the conference sessions discussions.

The research specifications :
The research will be accepted only if it agrees with the following conditions:
1- Its topic handles one of the conference axes with respect to the experiment, and its future application.
2- It must be original and achieving the conditions of the scientific methodology (APA), and is not published or offered to a magazine or another conference.

The university council approved by its tenth session held on the sixth of February 2005 the following :
1- The cancellation of the sections (1-2-10) from the instructions related to the system of the academic quarters.
2- The judgment of the eighth item of the academic system in Al-Nahrain University is applied to all university graduates starting from the year (2005-2006), which stated that (its possible for Al-Nahrain University graduates to continue their post graduate studies in their colleges with out passing through the mechanism of acceptance for these studies in case they have an average 75% or they succeeded from the first quarter and having an average higher or equal to 70% according to the capacious plan of the post graduate studies).

To our sons the students of universities and institutes :


My dears,
I'm pleased at the beginning of the new academic year 2004 – 2005 to talk to you as the father and the big brother that really cares about your future in life and work, that care which must direct words to your hearts before your ears, and to your consciences before your minds…You know all the circumstances of the dear home and what the Iraqi people is facing from the past tragedies, in which the responsibility of facing it is not only confines on the administrative and official commands, but you are also invited to bear a big part of this responsibility and in your educational duty frame…So the faithfulness, the persistence, following the system and the university instructions are a big indication on your belonging to your universities, your people and your country.
The system and the organized working, the follow-up of the lessons and result is your first responsibility, while the other cares and the sectarian and doctrinal inclinations and the political subjects are all outside the walls of the university, because the university and the higher education must stay away from these subjects that separate more than unit us, and keep the higher education away from the achievement of its targets in the scientific firmness and the preparation of a generation capable of facing life by science and work…The universities and institutes are also having another responsibility of achieving the new Iraqi project of building a unified federal democratic free country, and that is achieved by the preparation of generation that believe in these principles and will to achieve it…Then we will all have the responsibility of making universities and institutes as the sanctuary of the science, the cognitive enlightenment center and the enlightenment and democratic one, away from all of the inclinations of the political and intellectual strictness in all of it's forms.

And you also know that your professors have the right in the obedience, the respect, the appreciation and the respecting on you, and so you also have the right of care and the directing on them.

When ever the relation between the student and his professor and between the faculty board and the students is a relation filled with respect and appreciation of the responsibility then the hope of being more close to achieve our goals in building a generation with high moral values and the firmness of a required scientism and a superior skill, to have this generation as the real building tool for the Iraq of tomorrow, the Iraq of the future and the Iraq of the Iraqis that are searching for the free and honorable life.
I invite you my dear students to return to your academic and scientific tasks, and I will be waiting for your success, and finally God bless you all.

Al Salam Alaykoom,
We attached a copy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / the Legal and Administrative Headquarters message with the Ref. : 744 on 16/01/2005 that is generalized from the Ministry of Interior with the Ref. : 1351 on 17/12/2004 concerning the security recommendations for the protection of the professors of universities, the faculties and the educational staff.

Please read it carefully and take care…with regards.

Security advices for all university and college professors and lecturers :

1. Protection against kidnapping and killing crimes :

A- look outside the house before getting out, there may be a bomb planted at the door or at the front pavement, and if you have any doubt about any undefined object then call the police immediately using one of the numbers (150 or 160) to send you a bomb expert.
B- Pay attention to all the strangers and cars around your house before leaving for the college, and do the same when you return home, if you have any doubt then call the police.
C- There could be somebody standing to the right or left of the house, holding a mobile to call the kidnapping group about your location and moves, so be careful.
D- When driving a car pay attention to the following :
1) If you have a gun then it must be ready for shooting.
2) In case of having bodyguards, you must pull your trigger to have a bullet ready for shooting.
3) Look to the left and right of the car, watch your back using the car's mirror, your eyes must be concentrated at the car that follow you, usually cars that are involved in these operations have no numbers, or being drove by veiled people, if you feel that you are being watched by them, in this case look at your way with out letting them notice any wrong moves from you.
4) If you observed a car that moves beside you even when you change your direction then try to slow down to know where the car is going to, if you were the goal then immediately defend your self by shooting directly at that car, then try to find a good chance to escape, and try telling the nearest police station that you are being followed by a group of terrorists to let them open fire at the attacking car.
5) Use only roads that many policemen exist in, and do not use the empty or open ways, also do not use roads having a high traffic jam.
6) Try driving on the left side of the road, with the highest speed possible, to have less chance of being chased, as it will be harder to pass by you from the left.

2. Protecting transportation lines :

A- Those who have gun license they must carry their guns with them.
B- Cars with governmental numbers must be switched with "Test Numbers" in order not to be observed by the terrorists.
C- Cars are prohibited from stopping in the public places or crowd streets with out having a good reason to do so.
D- Cars are prohibited from entering alleys as they will be easy targets for the terrorists.
E- Arriving time must be organized for each employer so that the bus will spend less time waiting for the employer.
F- If the bus did not arrive, then employers must separate into small groups, then each group should use public transportation buses to arrive to college.
