courses system of the computer science department at Al-Nahrain university was updated for the new students, the new system consists of 8 courses applied with in 4 years, in which students will have 2 courses each year, with in these courses they will study a variety of computer related subjects, that build their bases as computer scientists, these subjects are listed in the following tables (for the year 2004-2005) :

* The old system was consisting of 9 courses applied with in 3 years, and each year is divided into 3 courses, 10 weeks each course, this system is still in application for the second and third stage students, but its no more applicable for the new students.
